Presenter:Prof. Joseph Torigian (American University & Hoover Institution)

 

Joseph Torigian is Associate Professor at the School of International Service at American University in Washington, DC, a Global Fellow at the Wilson Center’s History and Public Policy Program, and a Research Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover History Lab. His research focuses on the politics of authoritarian regimes with a specific focus on elite power struggles, civil-military relations, and grand strategy. He holds a Ph.D. in International Relations Theory and Comparative Politics from MIT and a B.A. from the University of Michigan.
