Established in April 2017, the IAFOR Research Centre (IRC) is a joint initiative between the Osaka School of International Public Policy (OSIPP) and the International Academic Forum (IAFOR), an interdisciplinary international academic conference organization.
Our mission is to promote research projects that foster intercultural dialogue and deepen mutual understanding within the international community through interdisciplinary approaches to various global issues. Leveraging our collaboration with OSIPP, a graduate school known for its international diversity, we are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of global leaders. To this end, the Centre actively encourages and supports the participation of graduate students and early-career researchers in international conferences and collaborative research projects.
Global Risk Solutions Center (GRSC)閉じる
The Graduate School of International Public Policy (OSIPP) at the University of Osaka established the Global Risk Solutions Center (GRSC) with the mission of sharing our accumulated academic and empirical analyses, as well as the insights gained from our extensive global network. Our objective is to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders—including citizens, corporations, local governments, national governments, and international organizations—to develop and share superior solutions that mitigate the costs and damages associated with undesirable risks.
Center for United Nations Policy Studies (CUNPS)閉じる
The Graduate School of International Public Policy (OSIPP) at the University of Osaka was founded in 1994. It was the first graduate school at a Japanese national university to focus specifically on the field of public policy. To commemorate its 15th anniversary in 2009, OSIPP established the Center for United Nations Policy Studies (CUNPS).
Our department has always maintained a profound interest in the role of the United Nations and other international organizations. Specifically, we focus on their influence regarding the formulation, decision-making, and implementation of international public policy to resolve global challenges. Through the activities of this Center, we conduct advanced and specialized research on all aspects of UN policy while providing high-level education. Furthermore, we are dedicated to strengthening our initiatives in career development and social academic collaboration.
ESG Integration Research and Education Center (ESG-IREC)閉じる
The ESG Integration Research and Education Center (ESG-IREC) was launched in 2021 at the Osaka School of International Public Policy (OSIPP). The Center aims to foster a more constructive understanding of “ESG Integration” through industry-academic research, education, and practical application.
Our activities are grounded in the perspective of global governance, an area where OSIPP has long-standing expertise in fields such as international public policy, labor and economic policy, international politics, international law, and environmental issues. By collaborating with corporations committed to ESG, we strive to create a virtuous cycle where business success coexists with the resolution of diverse social challenges.
